Memorable Art History Paintings

Here are a few artists in history whos paintings stood out to me during my art history class..

René Magritte (21 November 1898 – 15 August 1967) was a Belgian Surrealist artist. He became well known for a number of witty and thought-provoking images that fall under the umbrella of surrealism. His work challenges observers’ preconditioned perceptions of reality.

Audrey L. Flack (born 1931 in New York) is an American artist known for her pioneering contributions to photorealist painting, printmaking, and public sculpture.
